SUDHA GAS AGENCY - A domestic gas cylinder service was started in Murud in association with Hindustan Petroleum (HP) Ltd. In 1989, owned by Murud Taluka Supari Credit Society. SUDHA name represents the abbreviation of SU-Supari DHA-Dharak. Initially Society was allowed to operate nearly 12KM Murud municipal area.
It was fulfilling experience at the ceremony were top officials from HP Ltd. Present at inaugural program held in 19th March 1989 in Murud. Marketing Director Mr. Paranjape, Marketing Manager Mr. Kaar, Chief Regional Manager Mr. Ramnath and Sales Manager Mr. Romeshchandra addressed & guided the event organized by Supari Credit Society Ltd. Murud. The guest of Honor Mr. Ravidranath Raut (Ex- MLA, Rajyasabha) and Former Member of Assembly & Murud resident Mrs. Sudha Joshi explained the idea & neccesity behind gas distribution center at Murud. All respected authorities from various fields congratulated, wished Best of Luck & admired the step taken by Society.
After many hurdles and demand society has earned the license to give service in entire Murud Taluka with great achievement altogether. Today we have more than 11470 domestic and commercial customers and the number is increasing day by day.
